Yoga teacher training in France

Larret,  16th May – 6th June 2024

Yoga Teacher Training in Saint-Saud-Lacoussiere, France

This Yoga Teacher Training is an in depth examination of the wholistic yoga path, focusing on all aspects of how to live a life as a tantric and a yogi. This transformational program is based in experience.

We discover how to live together in a healthy way, forming a community who accepts not only the beautiful parts of each individual but also the anger, sadness and fear. You find that being held in a safe community, you are also able to access more freedom to be your unique self.

You will explore the roots of Tantra and Shamanism understanding how different lineages reflect the same Cosmovision. You will leave with confidence to lead a Kaula Tantra Yoga class. A practice which channels a 5,000 year old series preparing the body for deep meditation.

Durga’s Tiger School is where ancient tantric teachings meet neo-tantric practices; combined they lead you into a new way of relating with the world around you. You will learn concrete tools that you can easily integrate daily. Through experiential learning you will subtly break open the basics of yoga philosophy, yamas, niyamas and the eight-limb path in such a way that you will understand where they arise in your life and practice.

This training will be held in English and French languages

Depending on the teachers present, the content of some classes can variate a little bit, always honoring the main structure of the course contents.

Here below we present some classes in which the content has been amplified and adapted:

Nature Spirit Connection
Yoga and Tantric knowledge has the same spiritual background than shamanism worldwide : nature is alive, part of us and we are all connected together with animals, stones, trees and Spirit.
In this training, in the wild French Dordogne, we will explore shamanic knowledge and energy through rituals, learnings and experiments coming from the ancestral Celtic tradition but also the neo-paganism and its social and political links nowadays. This class aims to offer to students the possibility to connect to their inner power and to really feel and embody this deep connection to Nature and the Universe.

Breathwork Ceremony
A breathwork ceremony will mark the midpoint of the training. This is a space to explore what is alive in us – in our body, our energy, our emotions, our thoughts. Guided by our breath, we step beyond our everyday state of consciousness, diving deep within. Through the use of conscious connected breath, movement, sound, and touch, you facilitate your body’s natural process of releasing mental, emotional, and physical blockages stored within – paving the way for feelings of aliveness, self-love, and deep relaxation.

Carmen Iten

Carmen has a passion for challenging herself and others to move beyond their comfort zone, letting curiosity and love guide the way. A personal crisis led her from a nomadic life in Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas on a journey within herself. In this process, she went deep within her own discovery through mindfulness, embodiment practices and personal development. Later she trained as a yoga teacher, breathwork practitioner, and group facilitator. During the Yoga Teacher trainings and retreats she holds, she loves to create spaces for self-exploration. Spaces where participants can connect with their heart, body and mind. Spaces where each person can step into their own personal power.

Tiphaine Besnard

Is a French therapist. She completed a degree in sexology and a doctorate in sociology in 2015. She also published three books resulting from her university work on sexual theories and gender and sexuality issues in contemporary psychotherapies.
She’s Trained in Mindfulness meditation 2016, in Bert Hellinger’s Family Constellations 2019, and she’s certified as an instructor in Kaula Tantra Yoga (Durga’s Tiger school 2023). She regularly leads workshops and retreats around the body, emotions, neo-tantra, trauma healing and sexual fulfillment.
Her spirituality takes its roots in neo-paganism (Celtic tradition) and Starhawk’s Reclaiming tradition (ecofeminism), and in that context, dance, ritual and magical practices have always been part of her life and on her professional path.
She’s learning yogic and tantric ancient philosophy and she’s interested in creating connections and dialogues between hindouism and other forms of spirituality.

Lena Rabet

Léna spent many years traveling, exploring different cultures and meeting new people. Along the way, she developed an interest in spirituality and the power of the mind. After getting trained as a yoga teacher in India, she has been teaching for 4 years focusing on sharing the yoga philosophy. For her, yoga is more than just the physical practice, it’s about connecting body and mind, bringing awareness and love into life, as the practice does not stop off the mat.
Her transformative experience at Durga’s Tiger school in 2023 showed her the infinite potential of healing by connecting movement, breath, dance, art & nature – a synthesis of all her passions !
Excitedly joining the team as an assistant in this training, Léna is looking forward to an ongoing journey of learning and sharing, in this extraordinary adventure called life.

Pol Pi

Before encountering Western contemporary dance, he studied physical theater, clown, butoh and traditional Brazilian dances, and worked as a professional musician for over 10 years (he plays the viola and the rabeca).
He founded the company NO DRAMA in 2016 and has since created several performances, showed in many cities in France as well as in Berlin, Essen, Chicago, Zagreb, Sofia, Brussels, Barcelona, São Paulo…
Pol also practices authentic movement and self-induced cognitive trance and will share during classes practices focused on deep listening of our intuitions, in an intimate and sensitive relationship with creativity. He will also address the voice as a tool for exploring movement and emotions, and will offer exercises for connection to oneself, to the group, to landscapes and to the embodied and non-embodied living beings that surround us.

At the end of every loop, she returns to dance, again and again, nourished by all these experiences, after having deconstructed the formatted movements of ballet to find the simplicity of authentic, organic movement, self-care healing and accessible to all. Today she turns to transmission, to offer ways to access her own body through breath, dance and play, to better listen to it, communicate and frolic together.
